This post hit me differently today.
i don’t mean to Make it About me in any way.
most nights I lie on the floor in my sons room so he can sleep. He won’t go to bed alone. He is 2 and just wants to have his dad next to him. I usually catch the score and wander the internet with no real purpose. Tonight I read your post and stopped. I realized how precious these moments are. I take them for granted and shouldn’t. My dad always says the days are long but the years are fast. Nothing more true. You blink and it’s gone. Take the moments you have and spend them with those who you love.
thank you for posting even as things aren’t best for you. I want you to know it made me stop and be thankful for what I have and what is most important.
We likely won’t ever meet but thank you for this post. I’ll stay a little longer in my sons room knowing that I’d rather be there than anywhere else and one day I’ll remember it as some of the best times I had. God speed and while we may only ever be strangers you have my utmost respect and appreciation.
